Fulci,one of the greatest horror movie directors to ever live. Along with Romero and a host of his Italian brethren,Fulci helped to create,define the zombie genre and this film is one of the top three zombie films of all time along with Night and Dawn(originals) by Romero. The music is haunting and this film takes me back to being a teenager and watching this film in the local theater. The thing that made the 60s and 70's zombie films so much better than todays version,is that they were HORROR films,not spoofs or filled with one-liners like todays versions. If I want comedy I will watch a comedy movie,I wish that the directors would try to keep horror scary and comedy funny..especially the zombie flicks. I would love to see another zombie flick that would take it back to this era,no CGI,real makeup and effects were so much better for film than the CGI crap that ruins good films today. CGI is OK for some scenes but too many directors today depend on it and plot,direction and acting all seem to take a backseat to CGI and explosions. These films are masterpieces of horror and should be watched by all aspiring directors. Fulci was a master of horror and suspense. Fulci and Romero are head and shoulders above the rest. Amazing that this film is only 8 out of 10 on here..shows the ignorance of some moviegoers. You dont make a zombie film any better than this!
