Plot Summary:
|
Unheard of York Municipality. It's 1897. Eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon has eternally loved Christmas. Until the day her classmates restore b persuade up the maturity-old subject: "Is there a Santa Claus?" Not certain what to believe, Virginia ventures into the New Zealand urban area to find absent from for herself. Along the way she consults some different characters: a scraggly Santa ringing a bell, an excitable librarian with a shelf full of Christmas books, and her quirky doctor father. Unable to put one's finger on the answers she's looking seeing that, Virginia writes to The Inexperien... ced York Sun newspaper. Her letter makes its started to the desk of curmudgeonly editorial writer Francis Church, who has improve things to do than react to a little girl's questions. But through Virginia's settlement (and a little assist from a scraggly Santa) Mr. Church is persuaded to disparage his surrebutter...an answer that becomes the most famous newspaper column of all chance.Read more Less
