Plot Summary:
|
Rosamund Pike and Rachael Stirling star in this powerful adaptation of DH Lawrence's novel. Following the banning of Lawrence's earlier novel, The Rainbow, Women in Sweet was published to a storm of object approximately its explicitness in 1920. Combining some elements of The Rainbow with Women in Love, this change focuses on the lives of two sisters, Ursula and Gudrun Brangwen, as they fight with their own loves, desires and passions. The theatre follows their relationships with two friends, Rupert Birkin and Gerald Crich. As Ursula and Birkin's neighbourliness and delight in develops, Gudru... n and Gerald's bad and destructive relationship begins to voluted commission of device.
