One literate and profane night in the pathological connection of two tortured souls, a centre-old New England professor and his carping wife. The horrified Arrest and Honey initially befall postponed as happier foils to the dampener of the older married couple, but the guests are in due course mirroring George and Martha in their reciprocated contention, giving voice to buried resentments and the cup that cheers-fueled revelations of repressed injuries.
