Plot Summary:
|
"White Squall" is the true story of a wind-jammer prime called the "Albatross." The school is run by the captain, Christopher "Chief" Sheldon and his wife, Dr. Alice Sheldon. In the of 1960, the couple took aboard eight teenage boys from around the country championing eight months of learning how to glide, be a crew, and respect one another. the crew goes totally hard times and more laid-upon someone times, but they must come together when a freak squall gets them in trouble in the centre of the the depths.

A film you really didnt want to be real
An amazing film, directed perfectly by Ridley Scott who really gets you to believe in the characters unlike those in simular true story based films like 'perfect storm', so you really feel for the characters when drama hits. Ryan Phillippe and Scott Wolf give outstanding proformances as two of a group of lads setting sail on a sail boat for the summer break, leaving their families behind to find themselves and become men lead and guided by their on board captain played perfectly by Jeff Bridges. Simple morals are the focus for most of the films duration, and is a great lesson of working together as a team, especially watching this in our times when we take so much for granted.
