What's the Matter with Helen?
Harrington's quirky genius for schlock horror and thrillers again seems in debt to some other cinema. The amusing Games owed lots to Les Diaboliques, notwithstanding casting Simone Signoret in the persuade. Here the author of Whatever Happened to Babe Jane? provides a screenplay fit-made the over-the-top histrionics of several lady stars of a certain mature. Winters and Reynolds stake two women caught up in a murder trouble involving their lollapalooza sons. It's 1934 and to escape the notoriety they wholly West for Hollywood, opening a boarding-school in the direction of show-biz kids. The refractory is, one of the duo is a psychotic butcher.
