Wayne and Garth are the endearingly daft metal fans whose public access show becomes a hit in Mike Myers' brilliantly silly comedy
The first big-screen outing for comedian Mike Myers and his sidekick Dana Carvey was eagerly anticipated and surprisingly good. Making the jump from their regular slots on Saturday Night Live to film could have been a disaster, but, with director Spheeris on board, plus a collection of catchphrases, celebrity fun-poking and in-jokes, the whole thing is kept nicely buoyant, despite the slight plot.
Wayne (Myers) and Garth (Carvey) are the perpetually adolescent (virginal) metal fans whose inane public access show becomes a big hit. They are then wooed by a proper television station. There is romance in the form of bass guitarist ...
What's the point?
I've tried to watch it twice and in both ocasions I couldn't even get to the middle of the movie. I think it's enough to describe my review. It's just not funny at all. Just ridiculous.

Great covering! Waynes Fantastic is a legal ! Funny and bright. Mike Myers at his most adroitly!
