Superb
I remember having this on VHS as a kid and there was a lot of tape damage at the bit when Eleniak came out of the cake. Oh, how as young men we loved that bit of the Baywatch woman with a short hair do - which didn't suit her!
Segal is awesome in this - a great film with a superb plot. Busey is superb too - plays a maniac quite well. I liked the review when someone said Segal is believable. That's why he was cool - he looked like he could kick ass. John Rollins once said (and he was a big dude too) that Segal 'really knew all that s**t - and WOULD kick your ass!' - Van Damme was pants compared to Segal.
If you haven't seen this and you like action films - then rent it - it's great and like all Segal films - never stops the action. The sequel (on a trai...
Under Siege
Terrorists get more than they bargain for - because the cook on the battleship they invade used to be a navy SEAL, and he's intent on preventing them stealing the ship's nuclear arsenal
'I have 50 gallons of bouillabaisse to prepare for tomorrow,' says Seagal, at the beginning of this lively and incessantly violent no-brain actioner. And he means it.
Hollywood's least likeable action hero is making generic pies in the galley when a team of international terrorists - cunningly disguised as a rock band - land on his battleship. Their leader (Jones), has some poorly defined plan to plunge the world into nuclear chaos - and it doesn't help that he's dressed as Bruce Springsteen while making his demands. Only Seagal and a semi-naked Playboy Playmate (Eleniak) ca...

Hollywood's least likeable action celebrity is making generic pies in the galley when a troupe of ecumenical terrorists - cunningly disguised as a rock band - earth on his battleship. Exclusively Seagal and a semi-naked Playboy Playmate (Eleniak) can scrape the date. But is it worth economizing?
Under Siege
After a stipulations of run-of-the-mill skirmish thrillers, Steven Seagal hit the jackpot with this slick maritime ride on the Die Hard concept. Portraying possibly the unlikeliest cook in the news of cinema, Seagal is the US navy's no more than hope when a chink squad of terrorists, led by Tommy Lee Jones, hijacks his take off. Seagal lacks natural charisma, but at least he's marginally less wooden than the likes of Chuck Norris, and a flashy carrying out from Jones, added to some fine being planned from beau baddies Gary Busey and Colm Meaney, more than compensate for the sake his deficiencies. Erstwhile Baywatch babe Erika Eleniak has little to do but explode elsewhere of a cake and wail a lot, but provides the requisite slice of sorcery. Seagal, vice-president And...
