Plot Summary:
|
A cable-TV poorly twist who'll do anything to turn a celebrity seduces a grave school schoolgirl and convinces him to work havoc upon her go-nowhere economize on in this black comedy. Gus Van Sant's sly satire on America's tabloid mentality is loosely adapted from Joyce Maynard's chronicle of the palpable-fixation tale of quiet-hooligan Pamela Injury.

great titles and credits
and the bit in between's great too. But strangely one of the most memorable bits are those titles and credits.
The disturbing thing about this film is that America increasingly breeds character's like the one Kidman plays - people so obsessed with their image and themselves that they lose all respect for society around them. In this respect the story is throroughly depressing. In terms of film making it's a smooth ride. No complaints. It's extremely well done and the casting is perfect.
