Peter Fonda plays 'Smashing Blues', the leader of Hell's Angels chapter from Venice, California while Bruce Dern plays 'Schlemiel', his most adroitly pal. When they both botch their go to get back Lead balloon's stolen bike, Lead balloon ends up in the sanatorium. When the Angels bust him out, he dies, and they bury him. Nancy Sinatra plays Mike, Blues' "knowledgeable lady" and Diane Ladd plays Loser's helpmeet (Dern's honest-life helpmate at the speedily). The plot is basically a buildup to the last half-hour of the dim in which Loser's funeral becomes another wild party.

The Wild Angels
Corman's lurid elaboration upon the themes of The Wild One has a cast that proves the numero uno had a sure look for talent. Fonda is the leader of the stall, Sinatra his biker-chick sidekick. 'Wanting to do what we want to do' is their motto, a exquisite modifying of 'What are you rebelling against? - What have you got?' from the Brando picture. This is Corman working in that deliciously crafty class, the exploitation flick dressed up as group comment - he balanced puts a stentorian warning at the crop of the movie, explaining it as an isometrics in sociological investigation. The sleazy con sham is a wow.
