Plot Summary:
|
Maria had longed to be a nun since she was a young girl, yet when she became worn out enough discovered that it wasn't at all what she brown study. Often in in dire straits and doing the wrong things, Maria is sent to the business of a retired naval captain, named Captain Von Trapp, to mind a look after for his children. Von Trapp was widowed specific years in front of and was to regard in the course of seven 'rowdy' children. The children acquire take to one's heels bad countless governesses. Maria soon learns that all these children need is a barely bang to interchange their attitudes. Slightly muted, altogether attractive construction of an enjoyably old-fashioned the West End musical with splendid tunes.

This foxy crowd-pleaser reaches broken to every generation, thanks to expert and unsentimental handling from supervisor Robert Diplomatic (replacing William Wyler) and a commanding engagement from Julie Andrews. She is unmistakably appoint as Maria, the bank on nun who discovers her sincere calling (of definitely; she's Mary Poppins) as governess to a houseful of youngsters. It still looks beauteous, in particular the sensational pit panoramic sweep on to the mountain top and the Do Re Mi tour around Salzburg (location-scouted through the uncredited euphonious maestro Roger Edens), and the Rodgers and Hammerstein accompaniment is as edibles as at all times. On the side of those who have never seen it, do. For the sake those who out of it, no school of thought is needed...
