Plot Summary:
|
Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Hem in) is a pro wizard in modern-lifetime Manhattan irksome to preserve the burgh from his consummate-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average lampoon who demonstrates hidden capacity, as his chary protégé. The magician gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and method of theurgy, and together, these unlikely partners work to pause the forces of darkness.
