The Rich Man's Wife
Amy Holden Jones secured her reputation with such screenplays as Mystic Pizza and Degenerate Proposal. However, this trashy self-penned thriller has more in common with The Slumber Party Massacre, song of her earlier directorial outings for producer Roger Corman. Faint echoes of Strangers on a Following ring around a film that also tries to pull unsatisfactory a Unexceptional Suspects-diction finale, but such borrowings exclusively emphasise this movie's lack of creativity. Halle Berry never gets to grips with her capacity as the chief suspect in the murder of her two-timing , but Peter Greene is gleefully demented as the provenance of solace who turns into a stalker.
