Plot Summary:
|
Two drifters are passing through a Western hamlet, when despatch comes in that a specific agronomist has been murdered and his bullocks stolen. The townspeople, joined by the drifters, put up a posse to catch the perpetrators. They lay one's hands on three men in possession of the cattle, and are firm to see neutrality done on the spot.

The Ox-Bow Incident
Fonda is the good cowboy who sets forbidden to prove the innocence of three drifters accused by an angry body of the slaying of a agriculturist. Anticipating Fonda's job in Twelve Livid Men, this is a powerful and ultimately depressing theatricalism where the discrepancy between advantage and bad is all too explicit to the audience. While its liberal attitude came as a stagger of fresh air when The Ox-Bow To-do was released, nowadays its theme is a little overfamiliar, and the film over lacks the scheme and inventiveness of Lumet's masterpiece Twelve Irritated Men. Pacific, in this methodology Fonda is always quality watching.
