The October Man
Upstanding old amnesia has another trip, with Mills as a murder not any too sure of his own innocence when a dummy...
The October Man
Mills is the epithet person, a people with a curriculum vitae of balmy illness who requisite prove he has not committed a fit with a concrete overcoat. Easier said than done when he is not convinced of his innocence himself. Understandably written by Ambler, who adapted the script from his own novel, and Baker's direction is suitably moody - more affecting when you learn it was his debut. The amnesia theme is hardly the most original, even if, and Mills fails to give the r“le much intensively or sympathy. Greenwood is much more striking as the maidservant who believes in him.
