Plot Summary:
|
As the First Existence At daggers drawn draws to a finish, American troops filter deep into German held French bailiwick, subordinate to difficulty from French and British allies to go forward quickly and smash the pattern of the German Army in France. "The Abandoned Battalion" is the honourable story of a corps of 800 American soldiers, connected to the 77th American Division, who were ordered to forward into the Argonne Forest, against heavy German denial, and hold their position at whatever the cost.
