Plot Summary:
|
Professional wild and ivory-suited hero, The Eminent Leslie, convinces proffer-of-the-century auto makers that a spillway from New York to Paris (westward across America, the Bering Impassive and Russia) see fit pinch to promote automobile sales. Leslie's arch-challenger, the mustached and black-attired Professor Lot vows to beat Leslie to the finish line in a car of Disposition's own invention. The Blake Edwards luxury of slapstick and song originated with this movie. A adherence to Laurel and Hardy appears at the start of the film. Edwards' tribute to Stan and Ollie can be seen most distinc... tly in the interaction between Professor Life and his cohort Max, as obviously as in the operatic Pottsdorf pie fray.
