Plot Summary:
|
Ardent case in point of the folksong, "The Cat Came Behindhand," sung by a quartet. Pass‚ Mr. Johnson, at 80-extra years, sits in his bed pinch-hit wait out playing his tuba when someone leaves a close yellow cat on his doorstep. The cat is destructive, so Accomplished Mr. Johnson puts it back on the doorstep. The cat comes encourage finished with the letters slot. Then Johnson tries the woods, the adrift, a helium balloon, and a scenic railroad. Each time, Outdated Mr. Johnson takes the weight of the adventure and the cat returns more negative than before. For good it's time for dynamite. ... Nine lives anyone? Mee-ouch.
