The Bells of St. Mary's
Affable sequel to Are You Prevalent My Way, which has Crosby reprising his role as Father O'Malley, the happy-go-lucky, boater-wearing pastor who locks horns with frosty Sister Benedict (Bergman) when he arrives at an inner-bishopric illiberal school. The school is shamefully in need of repairs and cash, but as he discovers his views on education are immensely different from the Sister's, a pacific battle of wits develops between the two. Dripping with susceptibility but who cares when you've got Bergman as the singing nun?
