Plot Summary:
|
A Victorian scientist and his mix discover the arcane of death: everybody has a kind of live "death will", the "asphyx"; when somebody is about to die, this "asphyx" comes in to claim his butt. If it can be caught at the right consequence, immortality follows! The scientist succeeds in capturing his own asphyx, but when he starts experimenting on his daughter, he accidentally kills her. The assistant, his daughter's fiance, commits suicide; the scientist, insufficient to die with them, tries to set his asphyx unhampered again, but has forgotten the cipher standards to the safely in which the ... spirit is kept. Released in the year that The Exorcist changed fright films forever, The Asphyx almost sank without a track. It's only at one's disposal again thanks to some original detective and restoration on the dole next to American DVD producers All Broad daylight Entertainment in the tardy 1990s. After watching the film, you might be forgiven for wondering why they went to all the irritation.
