The Animatrix
In view of the Wachowski brothers' documented interest in anime, comics and videogames, it's not natural that they should requirement to see the world they created in 1999's The Matrix expanded into these other media. (And the bean-counters essential have been keen too.) In the hiatus between The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded, fans had to content themselves with various online comics. They were as a rule advantageous superiority, but were more of a titbit than a meal. If The Matrix Reloaded is the feast they were waiting through despite, The Animatrix films are tasty sidedishes.
