The Adventures Of Huck Finn
"...A simple-hearted, spirited escapade.....[Wood has] the requisite verve for the legend's dominant role..."
The Adventures Of Huck Finn
This Disney adventure is people of at least eight murkiness versions of Mark Twain's acclaimed unusual, but it can hold its head much higher than a sprinkling of its predecessors. With his encyclopaedic eyes and refreshingly uncontrived social conventions, Elijah Wood gives a good account of himself in the subhead role, wisdom about racial open-mindedness thanks to his fellowship with Jim, an escaped slave played with great finesse by Courtney B Vance. If writer/boss Stephen Sommers intermittently in recession-soaps and over-modernises in an attempt to connect with his audience, he nevertheless gets fine performances from a brutish Ron Perlman and the roguish duo of Jason Robards and Robbie Coltrane.
The Adventures Of Huck Finn
"...Jason Robards and Robbie Coltrane, working in tandem a well-oiled vaudeville act, offer a zestful, hugely enjoyable comic zigzag defy..."
