Plot Summary:
|
Scintilla Quick is a former CIA explosives expert turned bomber-for-hire living in Miami, Florida. Pencil's latest client is a skilful old lady named May Munro, May hires Ray to assassinate Miami mobsters who murdered her parents when she was a child. Agreeing, Ray eliminates the three mobsters individual-by-one and blows them up. But things commemorated from bad to worse, one of the mobsters Ray has killed is Tomas Leon, the son of Miami crime boss Joe Leon and Ned Trent, a vicious and misshapen Ex CIA agent (Ray's former college) is working on account of the Miami mob and was Tomas's bodygu... ard, has been assigned nearby Joe to secure the bomber-for-hire who killed his son and his two employees. Ray becomes doubting and dubious of May, and suspects May has go down him up and is working on Ned who is missing to get his take revenge for on Ray.

Specialist, The
The much vaunted partnership of Stallone and Stone singularly fails to ignite the screen in this ridiculous high-concept action thriller about an explosives expert turned mercenary. Indeed their nude shower scene, in which she wraps her slim, creamy body round his outrageously pumped-up physique, has all the sexiness of a piece of spaghetti being tied around a haemorrhoid. As if sensing the sheer absurdity of the movie and their own relative insignificance next to the Stone/Stallone combo, the villainous Woods and Steiger take it in turns to see who can deliver the most preposterous, eyeball-rolling performance.

What excellant performances from Stallone and Stone.
The only thing we found weird was the unusal fact that it showed erotic scene with Stallone (not an image we are used to seeing from the actor). It wasn't what we expected from Stollone, who you always imagine as a tough guy.
There was plenty of action that kept you glued to the seat as to how they would assinate the next villian.
Worth watching. Not a bad film for a night in with the boys, though I do think the girls would enjoy this .... if only for seeing the muscles on Stollone.
