Plot Summary:
|
In this spoof of STAR WARS and a handful of other sci-fi flicks from the 1970s and '80s, space-made-up-for-rent Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his half-dog/half-man sidekick, Barf (John Candy), rescue a spoiled Druish princess (Daphne Zuniga) from the evil Lord Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) in at all times to reward remote intergalatic gangster Pizza the Shanty. With SPACEBALLS, president Mel Brooks is at it again, this schedule with a science-fiction mimic with all the blue-process special effects and unearthly makeup (although in this mist, things are always marginally misled-kilter and unpolis... hed). Here, maverick duration travelers decline out of the closet to save the planet Druidia, which is being harassed via the Spaceballs, a sinister group attempting to snatch Druidia's air resources. Among the many gags and jokes is a hilarious parody of a masterpiece section from ALIEN. Brooks himself (who appears in two different roles) makes everyone of his funniest acting appearances as Yogurt, a send-up of THE EMPIRE STRIKES Subsidize's Yoda.

Spaceballs
The planet Druidia looks doomed unless the heroic Lone Starr can save it from the evil Dark Helmet. Sci-fi farce starring Bill Pullman, Rick Moranis and John Candy, and written, directed and produced by Mel Brooks

Spaceballs is Brooks's send-up of those films set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. In the canon of his movie spoofs, however, it ranks well below Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein but is far superior to Robin Hood: Men In Tights and Dracula: Dead And Lov...
HILARIOUS
Set in space. This ' Star Wars/Star Trek/Alien' spoofery/crossover is hilarious. Rick Moranis is Dark Helmet. Helmet wants air. When someone from planet Spaceball foolishly lost it. She escapes with her android buddie, Dot Matrix and hooks up with dodgy space dealer Lone Starr played by Bill Pullman. Lone Starr & his sidekick Barf played by John Candy owe Pizza The Hutt some money but can't get it. So in order to do this they decide they will go get it but are sidetracked by Princess Vesper & Dot Matrix who are on the run from Dark Helmet's crew 'The Spaceballs' who are out for evil with there Statue-Of-Liberty hoover they build there air draining device ...
