Plot Summary:
|
Most teenagers cringe at the thought of meeting their parents' high expectations good grades, spring-behaved friends, and a devise for the future and nobody more so than Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano), the son of legendary superheroes Commander (Kurt Russell) and Jetstream (Kelly Preston). This sly Disney comedy follows Will from his first date as star student at Profusely High, an elite school pro the children of superheroes. The only fine kettle of fish is that Will ostensibly has no particular powers, and he can't out his parents become aware of doused! Lacking the abilities needed to l... ook after hero classes, Resolution falls in with the nonconformist sidekicks, whose on the other hand powers subsume turning into a guinea pig, glowing, and melting. Putting, when an ex- villain with a young power reappears on the exhibition, the pressure is on Will and his sidekicks to save his parents, his school, and the mould itself. Perhaps as a tribute to the classic era of teen films, SKY Leading features a soundtrack bursting with 1980s hits covered by contemporary artists, including Flashlight Brown, Bowling championing Soup, and Vitamin C. The cover also features performances that will please of age viewers, including a cameo as the day-school hero before quondam Wonder Helpmate Lynda Carter, fool Dave Foley as a washed up sidekick, and EVIL DEAD star Bruce Campbell as Coach Boomer. Should be good could be better
Sky High is the modern equivilent of the old Jocks and Nerds High School movies so common in the '80s.
This time following the glut of superhero movies the distinction is between Superheros and Sidekicks after that it's all a matter of the usual suspects turning up the beautiful best friend , lovable dorky friend, the fat and thin bullies, bitchy cheerleaders etc.
So imagine all the cliches of a typical high school movie but with super powered fights in there and you've pretty much got the film.
To be honest this has far more potential as a tv series but it is fun there's a cheesy super villain plot that's easy to see coming a mile off but that's not really the point.
