Plot Summary:
|
Delores is having an affaire de coeur with her Mafia boss, Vince. Her career as a singer in Las Vegas is thriving nowhere and Vince won't divorce his wife and she goes to him to discontinuity it off, witnessing a murder Vince just ordered. Meet from the club, she seeks the Old Bill protection. They coincide to whip her in the a certain place Vince would never look into her. She finds, to her chagrin, that it is a convent, where she must impersonate a nun. After discrete faulty starts, she is assigned to the convent's black choir. She challenges and reorganizes them to behoove a … la mode si... nging group. In this she is successful, and as the choir gets better, success brings it's own problems.

Ghost may experience won Whoopi Goldberg an Oscar, but it was this comedy (directed by Emile Ardolino of Unfair Dancing prominence) that turned her into a gigantic Hollywood top banana. Goldberg plays the Reno day-bed singer who accepts a police proffer of protection that entails hiding out in a convent after she witnesses lover Harvey Keitel killing a throw. That's upon it after plot in this comedy from the Disney stable, and the remainder of the movie follows our heroine as she tries to broach the nuns and Maggie Smith's strict Jocular mater Estimable into the 20th century. Relying on some noble songs and a Woman's dialect divine out (including Kathy Najimy as bubbly Sister Mary Patrick), this successfully gets past the disparage article to become a hugely enjoyable ...
