Scream 2
This film, although not as good as the first still comes up as one of the best films i'v seen. The scene in the theatre at the end has the best scene of the film.
Scream 2
Wes Craven's knowing and popular horror trilogy reaches its second instalment. Pretty much more of the same: perky youths, geeky gags and bloody knives
"Is Sidney experiencing some deja vu?" asks the killer in Craven's sequel to his smash-hit slasher pastiche. Yep, and she's not the only one. The film not only recycles the same basic plot as the first movie - which is explainable since a copycat killer is on the loose - but also the same gags, the same characters and the same bluff-counterbluff ending.
One touch of originality harks back to the moment in Scream when Sidney (Campbell) voices her fears that she will be played by Tori Spelling in the film adaptation of her life and, lo and behold, in the movie-within-the-movie Tori is indeed playing Sydn...
Scream 2
"...The satire is more sophisticated....Superintendent Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson have sharpened the cynosure clear along with their copycat assassin's knives..." -- 3 out of 4 stars
Scream 2
Another administer of knowing, self-referential apprehension talkie lore that at the last moment twists back on itself with a killer who claims to have on the agenda c trick been corrupted by movies; it's profoundly ingenious, but it's even so junk.
Scream 2
"...Cleverness and self-awareness....The glee in all this knowingness is infectious..."
