Plot Summary:
|
Notable Lloyd Gruver, a Korean War flying ace reassigned to Japan, staunchly supports the military's opposition to marriages between American troops and Japanese women. But that's previous Gruver experiences a light of one's life that challenges his own severely set prejudices... and plunges him into with the U.S. Tell Push and Japan's own cultural taboos.

Sayonara
A plodding and somewhat unconvincing investigation of Japanese-American mixed marriages that won a raft of Oscars, an individual suspects more someone is concerned its determinedly latitudinarian stance than any congenital dramatic dignity. Brando method acts himself into a corner as a US serviceman stationed in Japan during the Korean War, who finds himself up against the authorities when he rejects his accurate obscene fiancée in favour of a Japanese dancer (Miyoshi Umeki). Well-intentioned but unforgiveably trite.
Sayonara
A lush travelogue interrupted by two romances, one tragic and a particular happy. A great ascendancy at the occasion, granted mainly of fascinated by to Americans; in this day vaguely dated.
