Saw IV
Robert KoehlerSo exactly how confident are the makers of the Saw franchise that their enterprise has Freddy???s kind of longevity? Here???s how: Saw IV begins with the now-dead Jigsaw lying on an autopsy table, his brain removed and his stomach contents emptied -- and he???s still in charge, with more of his ???games??? to play, and the film ends with more games promised. Lionsgate???s latest cash cow easily won the weekend B.O. and became the fall???s top opener with $32.1 million, ensuring many more Saws to come.

Saw IV finds SWAT Commander Rigg (Lyriq Bent) as the most recent puppet of posthumous villain Jigsaw (Tobin Bell). Delivering his message from the autopsy table, Jigsaw forces Rigg through a number of tough decisions to save his wife and himself.
Since the original Saw, cancer patient Jigsaw has tortured his victims to teach them to enjoy life and let go of the vices that cloud their happiness, and as Rigg'...
Saw still has all its teeth....
Despite the demise of Jigsaw, there are still pieces missing for our detectives to puzzle over, and Rigg (Lyriq Bent) in particular has to face his worst nightmares to try and solve the latest slayings, this time the particular brand of dispatching people has been arranged to involve him directly. Despite being the 4th outing, and with what could potentially have been the knock out punch when Jigsaw passed away in Saw III, this is still intelligent well put together horror, no simple slasher bloodfest here, just a well crafted excellent film in a series that has not dulled or worn with time. I'm no real horror fan, but for my money you can keep these coming, would I say see saw.. you bet I would !
