Rocky III
Sequlitis sets in as Rocky goes to war with future A-Team star Mr T.
As star, writer and director of the central three Rocky movies, Sylvester Stallone freely admits that this character - like Rambo - exists to make money. Certainly some would argue that as a celebration of a far from noble art the Rocky movies have no place in a civilized society.
Here Rocky Balboa has a wife (Shire), a son and money from his title fights. Of course, he can't resist the chance of competing against Clubber (Mr T), despite the advice of his old trainer (Meredith), who passes him on to a new guy.
If you can stomach the bouts, they do - at least - relieve the tedium.
Verdict
Someone ought to have thrown in the towel.
