Go on Ride the Bullet
In my mind this is probably the best interpretation of a Stephen King novel to date, I have read and seen them all good and bad. Mr. King also admitted that he thought that himself. The film holds up in the same way the book does it is a multi-layered masterpiece with the right amount of twists, turns and some good comedy parts too. The acting by all concerned was brilliant as you would expect from some top stars. The film was never meant to be about horror, things that go bump in the night or when the next prom queen will get gutted like a fish. It is about choices. The ones everyone has to make be them good, bad, right or wrong. The final scene, during the end credits is where it all comes together seamlessly; at this point you will understand the entire film. If not then it was too clev...
ride like a bullet away from this film!!!
Oh dear me, what a disappointing adaptation of a Stephen King short story! It is not strange that it went straight to video. This dull horror road movie is completely unengaging. It seemed to be unnecessarily extended (exceeding the limits of boredom) with poor acting and silly ghost train effects The only bit I fancied was David Arquette (but that is only because my infatuation with him since I saw 'Johns'...maybe a deeper and somehow much scarier film).
