Plot Summary:
|
An aspiring young physician, Robert Merivel found himself in the overhaul of Ruler Charles II and saves the life of someone close to the King. Merivel joins the Prince's court and lives the high life provided to someone of his position. Merivel is ordered to combine his King's concubine in ordain to re-route the queens suspicions. He is affirmed one order by means of the king and that is not to fall in relationship. The situation worsens when Merivel finds himself in out of with his redone wife. Eventually, the King finds manifest and relieves Merivel of his position and wealth. His draw back... from grace leaves Merivel where he first started. And totally his travels and reunions with an preceding , he rediscovers his love for true medicine and what it really means to be a physician.
