Plot Summary:
|
Carolyn Polhemus, an up-and-comer in the Kindle County D.A.'s Department, is inaugurate viciously murdered in her domestic. In a second her boss, D.A. Raymond Horgan and his chief reserve, Rusty Sabich start an questioning. Horgan, , is in the middle of a push to attend to his job, which he ultimately loses to ex- subordinate Nico Della Guardia. Della Guardia and his new spokesperson, Tommy Molto, decide to prosecute Sabich for Carolyn's murder when it is revealed that Sabich was a bygone lover of Polhemus. Horgan also turns against his former subordinate, and Rusty soon realizes he has some ... friends progressive - except for Sandy Unsympathetic, whom he has often faced on the other side of the courtroom, and who longing become his new defense counsel when he is vex on misfortune for blow away. Investigation aside Stern and his team leads them to think that Rusty was framed for manslaughter - via Molto, who wanted Sabich's job and was vexing to punish him as a replacement for help Horgan. Is Rusty Sabich innocent...or is he a murderer?

Rusty Sabich (Ford) is an ambitious prosecuting attorney who prides himself on playing strictly next to the book, but when his fingerprints are establish come close the body of a beautiful female associate (Scacchi), he finds himself eye suspicion. When it is revealed that Sabich and the deceased had had an activity the odds appear to be stacked against him, unless he can corroborate that someone is pulling strings behind the scenes.
