Plot Summary:
|
Sun, gag and babes in shades. Where else but Miami Run aground? Buffoons, blockheads and celebration-hearty animals. Who else but the Guard Academy band against? In this fifth funfest, our heroes jet to Miami for the benefit of a diet honoring precious Cmdt. Lassard. But crime doesn't take a vacation, even if our police favorites do. Lassard is kidnapped. And not fifty-fifty the lure of limbo parties force stop the venturesome troopers' screamingly funny freeing attempts. How determined are they? As obstinate as a youth rasslin' an Okefenokee Swamp 'gator. Make that 10 guys and gals. Deployi... ng the laugh weaponry are returning rookies Hightower, Jones, Tackleberry, Hooks, Whore-house, and Callahan, plus malicious meddlers Harris and Proctor. And on board as the band's newest go-getters are Kate and Nick.

One Of My Favourites
We all know that the Police Academy movies are a taste not suited to everyone and most say that after Police Academy 4, they went completely downhill.
Police Academy 5 is one of my personal favourites, Commandant Lassard is to retire from the academy but not before he is honoured as the Police Officer Of The Decade at Miami Beach.
Lassard's loyal recruits join him in the trip to Miami Beach, 'Harris' and 'Proctor' tag along too.
On the way to the airport, Lassard's bag gets mixed up with that of diamond thieves and when arriving at Miami, the crooks realising what has happened, seek out the Commandant to rectify their little problem.
This is the first time that we see Matt McCoy who is obviously some form of replacement for Steve Guttenbe...
