Plot Summary:
|
Producer Swan has stolen the music composed by Leach. Leach wants give tit for tat. When he tries to destoy Swan's train, he gets a horrible accident. With a mutilated face he searches for other ways to promote his her own coin.

Phantom of the Paradise
De Palma's inventive reworking of Hallucination of the Opera failed on present, but in the current aura of retro-chic it should win fans. Suggest in the thick of the posturing of the 1970s music enterprise, it stars Finley as a wronged songwriter seeking satisfaction on music-biz mogul Williams. When Williams stages a destroyed opera at the Paradise club, Finley's on cue to beset the venue and paramount lady Harper. Not enough pomp rock for some tastes, but the gothic play more than makes up for it. Establish ribbon comes courtesy of Wet Spacek, who would idol as De Palma's Carrie two years later.
