Plot Summary:
|
A degenerate gang of crooks layout to steal the wages of a local mill, but their carefully laid plans decline flawed, when the factory employs an armoured van to carry the cash. The gang still go ahead with the robbery, but when the driver of the armoured van is killed in the raid, his wife plans revenge, and with the control closing in, the gang start to sour on each other.

While the phrase '1960s heist movie' effect conjure up images of expensive European co-productions emotional of flamboyant planning, striptease locations and lateral rational involving acrobatics and ingenious perfunctory hardware, Payroll is a mini more obscene; basically some crooks abide by ramming the slyly of a surveillance truck until the doors come off. And it's set in Newcastle. The dreary and distinctly non-Geordie sounding crowd behind this is headed up by a woman Johnny Mellors (Craig), the ilk of character one forgets all about the second he's off wall off.
