Having identified himself as a "traveling restrain spreading the Lord's truth in these troubled times," "Mose" is prevailed upon to deliver the faint youngster to her Aunt since he's current that way, anyway. Addie, astute beyond her years, soon discovers that Mose is little more than a scam artist traveling from town to township delivering unordered Bibles and charging exorbitant prices to recently widowed women whom he identifies through the obituary columns of local papers. Soon, Addie and Mose become a pair, traveling from hamlet to burgh, making lolly in every unprincipled in progress imaginable, and looking object of the final make a point. The colorful characters they into along the way make the fog all the more inviting. Paper Moon
A charming compound of Hawksian comedy and Fordian lyricism imbues Bogdanovich's not-too-sickening appointment-cunning...
Paper Moon
Unorthodox but overrated comedy, imperfectly adapted from a least funny book, with careful but disappointing duration pick up and photography. A lot more sophisticatedness and gloss was required.
