Plot Summary:
|
When a condition in Africa is discovered, Colonel Sam Daniels of the Synergetic States Army Medical Inspection Begin towards Contagious Diseases or USAMRIID, is sent to investigate. When he reports servants' to his superior officer of the law General Ford and tells him that they should put out an observant on this cancer but the Unspecific that since the disease is so not know when to stop away and not airborne that it can't possibly reach the U.S. Putting, a victim from that enter in of Africa was captured and brought to the U.S. and a man who works at the customs congress took it and tried ... to sell it but when the person he tried to sell it to rejected it he released it. Later the man who arrived in Boston collapses and dies, Col. Daniels wants to look into it but Unspecific Ford denies his ask for so he turns to his ex-ball, who works at the Center for Disease Control or CDC to look into and they discover it's the African murrain but since it kills least swiftly, Col. Daniels feels that it's been contained until another outbreak!

In this rousing eco-thriller, Dustin Hoffman plays an army medic who's trying to secure the world from a lethal virus imported into America from Africa. You could read this as an Aids allegory, but it also works fairly as a regular against-the-clock jeopardy thriller with stratagem cover-up overtones. Governor Wolfgang Petersen marshals the effects superbly and there's terrific aid from the likes of Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey and a particularly nasty Donald Sutherland. If Hoffman lacks the requisite courageous quality needed on the side of the main, you certainly stand you could handle your hopes on in him.
