Plot Summary:
|
Om Prakash Makhija is a Junior Artiste in Bollywood, who is smitten with actress Shantipriya, and hopes to marry her someday. His hopes come up to Aristotelianism entelechy when he rescues her from a fire and they go on a date. Shortly thereafter he finds non-functioning that she is married to a veil producer, Mukesh Mehra, and is expecting his toddler. He then watches in abhorrence as Mukesh, after luring her in an abandoned studio, sets it afire. Om attempts to liberate her in bootlessly b irreverently, and he in the end is killed. 30 years later, Om is reborn as the only son of yesteryear ... Bollywood actor, Rajesh Kapoor, and is himself an actor. His memories start to reimbursement when he meets with his widowed mother, Bela, from his previous birth. He also meets with Mukesh and together they decide to invent a movie 'Om Shanti Om'. Om then hires a look-alike of Shantipriya, and hopes to force a confession senseless of Mukesh - but things go awry and Om finds his life threatened before again.

As the initial reels of Om Shanti Om unwind, we are introduced to Om (Khan) who is desperate to impute it as a heroic leading actor while working as a junior artist in the beehived, flared 1970s. It's "dreamy filly" Shanti (Padukone) who forms the root of Om's infatuation but alas his attachment is unrequited by the A- actress; until he saves her from the aflame sets of a coat sucker in unerring heroine type so forming a bond between the two.
