excellent
a superb adaptation of charles dicken's oliver twist, by director roman polanski.
it stars ben kingsley ( from gandhi and thunderbirds fame).

Left wanting more....
A very lavish and enjoyable production. I just couldn't help but wait for the songs but of course there weren't any. I have not read the book it was based on but I have good reason to believe that the film was honest creation. Ben Kingsley as Fagin was excellent, sinister and funny. It was like a "whos who " of British actors, one after the other.
