Plot Summary:
|
Professor Julius Kelp is a nerd who's been picked on by everyone. After the football coach humiliates him in front of his class and his beautiful student, Stella, Julius decides he will design a potion. After drinking the potation, he turns into, Buddy Love a wild and a non-professional party animal, plus, he isn't afraid to talk to Stella anymore. There's one puzzler-the potion wears off quickly.

An underrated classic
This excellent film marks the high point of the often irritating Jerry Lewiss movie career. Lewis demonstrates not only outstanding comic timing, delivery and inventiveness, but also brings a surprising subtlety and depth to his performance, rare amongst untrained actors. A word of warning, though. Do not confuse this film with the dreadful remake starring the congenitally unfunny Eddie Murphy.
Nutty Professor, The
You sway be someone who'll cross a continent to leave alone watching a Jerry Lewis motion picture. You might favour to listen to nails being dragged down a blackboard for an hour-and-a-half, sort of than advised his kooky medium. And if you are anybody of those people, you might want to avoid this like the epidemic. It sees Lewis as a wacky, socially inept and nerdy inventor who comes up with a technique that makes him a suave mankind-about-village in search of affair. Lewis directed this comedy Jekyll and Hyde and while he concentrates on the jerky, simpering soppiness of his stock on-blind persona, he takes a foxy crack at his former partner Martin when it comes to the chemically enhanced personality.
