Plot Summary:
|
Barbara Covett is a veteran and cynical schoolteacher who is Scrooge-like to retirement. She is just tolerated on her less brilliant and acerbic colleagues who remember nothing with respect to her privileged life which consists on balance of taking suffering of Portia, her aging cat, and spending countless hours alone. The only means she has found to take the vehemence away her furious loneliness is literature in her journal. When Sheba Hart, a younger, attractive woman, joins the potential as an adroitness teacher, Barbara watches her from afar and has nothing but caustic things to say in her... diary far her clothing and her caution-uninhibited manner.
