Near Dawn
I think my title is better, and it's more relevant to the film. A farm boy gets bitten at night by a girl he tries it on with. Then he starts to turn. This isn't the kind of turning into a vampire you've seen before, it's far more of a sickness which displays all the folklore symptoms of vampirism. This is the most conceptually perfect vampire film I have ever seen, however the film now suffers from its age and the pace is somewhat pedestrian in our post MTV world. It is a recognised classic of the genre, and no self respecting vampire movie lover should not have seen it. The end is tremendous, and believable. Pace and music set this movie in the 1980's even if it's not immediately obvious in the setting.
Gak
80's gak i'm afraid, terrible acting, unbelievably cliched plot, a waste of time. The ending is hilarious though, utterly ridiculous.......i'd rather set myself on fire.
