Plot Summary:
|
Based on the Chinese folk heroine Hua Mulan. When the woods is threatened by invaders, a unfledged girl defends her father close to nagging away from home and dressing up as a gazabo to solder together an all-virile army where she when all is said assumes a historically critical situation in defending the nation in a time of conflict.

Mulan (2009)
Mulan is the Chinese demoiselle who, seeing her pa unqualified to engagement in the clash against the invading Huns, cuts her locks and promptly joins the Army. Accompanied nigh a wee dragon voiced aside Murphy (be meticulous not to mistake him in spite of a lizard!) she tries to prove that a girl is well-founded as good as a crony when it comes to fighting for freedom. Charming and wonderfully dynamic Disney, this is let down by a whip-round of bland songs. But the contention is sufficiently gripping, the voices (remarkably Murphy's) prune-notch, and from the first scene onwards you know you're in kind hands.
