Plot Summary:
|
A policeman takes his yoke relation's place and inherits his problems and a beautiful girlfriend. He is contrived to kickbox his forward movement from France to the U.S. and slyly while playing footsie with the FBI and Russian mafia. Not by a hair's breadth muscles with a badge, the policeman must find the answers to some tough questions, none harder than what the heck is an accordian player doing in a sauna.

Minimum Sense.
Not for the fist time, nor the last, does Jean-Claude Van Damme play two roles in this film. Luckily in this one he does not have to 'act' against himself. This is standard action for Van Damme, but way below par for Director Ringo Lam.
The plot for this one does not hold water, but hey, it is a Van Damme film. There is plenty of bone crunching action and Natasha Henstridge is at hand to brighten up the scenery. If you like your action films mindless and loud, then this will be right up your street. Sadly there is not enough Martial Arts action in this one for my taste. A school report would state, 'could do better'!
jcvd should retire gracefully
Another one of the mediocre films that van damme seems to produce on an almost weekly basis. This one features that oh so original i must avenge my brothers killing (awol), the brother being a twin (double impact). I wouldnt recommend this unless you really must see every movie he makes. If you havent seen any of his movies, id rent bloodsport or kick boxer, if you have you probably know what to expect by now anyway.
