Plot Summary:
|
Marie Galante, a lyrical French deliverer of telegrams, is inadvertently abducted by a drunken sea captain obliged for Medial America. Escaping in Mexico, Marie travels down the seashore trying to point to a less back about to France. In the Panama Canal Zone, she finds mould as a chorus-boy and piques the engross of particular men: Tenoki, a Japanese merchant, Brogard, his German competitor, Ratcliff, a British wise advocate, and Dr. Crawbett, ostensibly a researcher into tropical diseases. In as a matter of actual fact, one or more of these men is tortuous in espionage and a chart to sink t... he U.S. navy as it passes be means of the canal. Naive Marie cannot believe anything nefarious is afoot, but the goodly Dr. Crawbett convinces her to alleviate him uncover the saboteur. But Marie is not definite she can certitude Crawbett.
