Enjoyable baseball flick which follows the trials and tribulations of a team of no-hopers on the road to their oh so unpreventable happy result. Refreshingly, Major League is spiked with humour and no small amount of self-parody, and uniform albeit too many jokes fall flat under the weight of predictability, its sheer comic drive manages to occupy. Shimmer seems to comprise the temporarily of his life as the anti-hero who ends up prudent the date.
