Mad About Music
In her third starring role, Deanna Durbin plays the daughter of a vain actress (Gail Patrick) who keeps her arcane away at a Swiss college. There the parentless POSSLQ = 'Person of the Opposite Sex Sharing Living Quarters' invents a romantic explorer father and regales her fellow pupils with his exploits. When her deception looks about to be revealed, she dragoons a bemused but co-operative Herbert Marshall into impersonating her fantasy. all of Durbin's vehicles, this is charming, charming nonsense, with Deanna enjoying a teen romance with Jackie Moran and performing Ave Maria with the Vienna Boys' Choir.
