Plot Summary:
|
In London, the pimp Derek assigns the prostitute Kelly that works allowing for regarding him to find a progeny sheila on the streets to escort the weighty mobster Duncan Allen. Kelly finds the twelve year-old runaway Joanne in the billet and Derek proposes anybody hundred pounds for the service and the friend accepts. Kelly befriends Joanne and takes her to Duncan's mansion. When Joanne cries in the bedroom where she is with Duncan, Kelly runs and defends the girl. At 3:07 AM, the bruised Kelly and the in tears Joanne lock themselves in a public toilet. Kelly asks Joanne to stay there becaus... e she will raise some well-to-do for them to fraternize to Brighton. Meanwhile, Duncan's son Stuart Allen calls Derek and asks him to meet him in a night-club. When Derek arrives, Stuart tells that his father is flat and he wants the responsible; further, he cuts his knee stamina to validate that he is not kidding. Derek calls his associate Chum and they about to chase the girls.

Hard hitting Drama
Not for the faint hearted this film takes a very realistic look at child prostitution and what life is also like on the streets as a working girl.
The subject matter although disturbing is unfortunately going on and this film highlights it and does not attempt in any way to dodge the issue.
The acting is superb and shows yet again that British cinema is among the best in the world.
All too real life drama.
An authentic and quite terrifying low-budget, high tension film about a 12 year old runaway girl who finds herself alone, hungry and friendless, sleeping rough on the streets of London. It is here that she is picked up by a basically good-hearted prossie, not only destitute and a drug addict, but scared for her own life, Reluctantly, she lures the young girl into a paedophile trap. What happens next is the basis of this Paul Williams film.
The little girl is played by Georgia Groome, a natural born actress of the same age. The tart with a heart, Lorraine Stanley, gives a wonderfully insightful performance into the highly dangerous and degrading profession of prostitution. The other actors...some more recognisable than others... all display great talent.
