Plot Summary:
|
Career black hat John Lyshitski (Dax Shepard) wants retribution on the now-grey pass sentence who put him away. He gets a prime opportunity when the measure's son, Nelson (Choice Arnett), nonetheless faultless of a crime, is convicted and sent to imprison. John immediately has himself thrown secretly into the clink to become Nelson's cellmate and make sure he gets the full prison experience.

Poor, Very Poor...
I was hoping that Will Arnett would bring some of his 'Arrested Development' form into this film, but it wasn't to be. Instead Arnett & Shepard go through the motions of an all to predictable attempt at a comedy movie.
Comedy has become more intelligent over the last couple of years and movies like this are a dying breed in an arena that only the classics such as 'Airplane!' will survive. There are possibly one or two moments where you will laugh out loud, but the rest of the time will be spent watching one sub-standard joke after another. You will know why they are meant to be funny but you won't laugh because it's all too obvious.
There are plenty of other, much better, comedies for you to rent, so unless you are really desperate I'd give...
